Regular users of arXiv.org may have noticed that on every paper’s page, under the Related Papers tab, one can now find the paper’s Influence Flower, which is a nice way to visualise citation influences among academic entities, including papers, authors, institutions, and research topics.
The following, for example, are the author-centric and venue-centric influence flowers for the paper A Monte-Carlo AIXI Approximation:

The Influence Flower is the brainchild of Minjeong Shin and Lexing Xie from ANU’s Computational Media Lab, with contribution from Jakub Nabaglo who helped us out for a time in ANU’s Software Innovation Institute. You can find out much more about the Influence Flower idea and its implementation at https://influencemap.cmlab.dev/.
Glad to see this creative citation-analysis tool from ANU becoming widely available on arXiv!
